How are my utilities billed (water / sewer)?
Water meters are read in March, June, September and December.
Usage is estimated the other months. The customer may call
in the meter reading each month to avoid an estimated bill.
A utility bill is mailed out the 1st of each month. Payment
is due on the 15th of the month and delinquent on the 25th
of the month. A $5.00 fee is charged for a reminder notice
on the 26th and service is disconnected on the 27th if arrangements
are not made for payment on the 26th.
When is my trash pickup?
For trash service, you need to contact Prime Sanitation or
Waste Connections.
Does the city have a dump?
The city has an area located at the fairgrounds for grass/garden
clippings and for trees/shrubs. No other items may be left
at this area for burning. The area is open to the public
at no charge.
Do you have a recycling program?
The city has a recycling program set up. The collection area
is open every Saturday from 9 am to 12 noon. All city residents
pay $.25 on their utility bill for this service. Any customers
not from the community pay $.25 for each load they leave
off. Items collected are: paper, cardboard, glass, metal
