Guidelines for Youth Development Community Service Projects
Our Plan
Individuals and organizations are eligible for Youth Development Funds if they do not receive any funding through a governmental agency such as a school district, city or county entity.
The Youth Development Committee Plan is to use Community Service Projects to gain an In-Kind purchase of equipment or other suggested goals to those individuals or organizations that choose to put in the time and talent needed to better Stanton in the present and in the future.
Although adult direction is required, we ask that actual project work be completed by Stanton youth. Adult assistance in completing the formula goals listed below, is accepted, but only youth presentation of the plans' implementation and gaining needed approvals, will be accepted.
Stanton Community Club – Youth Development Committee will not under any circumstances give cash for a Community Service Project – all projects should have in mind some sort of tangible asset, i.e. equipment, clothing, etc…. The Committee goal is to foster Community Service, yet to offer a realistic goal that can be attained through non-cash, In-Kind work.
Community Service Project Formula
The Youth Development Committee asks that each individual or organization contemplating a Community Service Project, use the following formula to make appropriate application for this Community Service Project (referred to hereinafter as C.S.P.). The Committee requires that all of the steps of this formula be completed and that each step have some sort of paper trail showing completion (if applicable).
- Brainstorm C.S.P.
- Develop C.S.P. Plan
- Present C.S.P. to Committee
- Suggest C.S.P. In-Kind Goal
- Committee Approval of C.S.P. Plan
- Implement C.S.P.
- Committee Approval of C.S.P. Project Completion
- In-Kind Purchase for C.S.P. Work.
Each step of this formula fosters the idea of:
- Planning Ideas
- Developing Strategies
- Presentation Skills
- Realistic Goals for C.S.P. Rewards
- Dealing with Suggestions or Changes to Original Plans
- Satisfactory Completion of Projects
- Gaining Approval Through Completion of a Plan
- Attaining Goals Through C.S.P. Work
Keep in mind that if you or your organization do not have or can not think of a Community Service Project, the Youth Development Committee is creating their own list of Community Service Project ideas to offer. These ideas can help to start your plan to begin the formula steps.
Please contact the Stanton Community Club to set a date to go over your C.S.P. Plan. Should you have any questions please contact one of the committee members about this unique and totally Stanton Opportunity.
Good Luck!
